Film: Tangled (Nathan Greno, Byron Howard, 2010)
I find it difficult to fathom that Tangled cost $260,000,000 to make. There are no uber film star to warrant a hefty pay packet and whilst the animation is terrific, it still pales in comparison to, say, Rango, which was as close to photo-real as it's possible to get these days.
This, of course, has little detriment to the film though which, like the best Disneys of recent years, is both charming and very funny and it also begs the question, with every other fairy tale having been given the Mouse House treatment, why wasn't Rapunsal adapted sooner?
Kudos to the animators for making a horse the most memorable character. That animal had me howling.
