A man has his penis dismembered, chewed on by angry fish only to have said fish burp it back at the camera. I haven’t laughed so hard for ages.
This really is one of those films that genuinely aims to be as trashy as possible. Anybody caught criticising the film for being so really needs to be punched very hard in the balls. There is gore and nudity aplenty and whilst much of the grue really is quite extreme (the gore goes places you really don’t want it to at times), the sheer balls and lunacy of the film, along with it’s sly wink at the camera, make for one of the most fun experiences I’ve had at the cinema in a long time.
There are problems that can’t be ignored, purely from a filmic point of view. Before the carnage starts there are some pacing issues that make some part lag a little, even with an 80 minute run time. And whilst this is the best example of the 2D to 3D conversion process, the 3D is still amateurish at best, a handicap for a film that has been billed since its conception as a 3D picture.
Still, it’s a laugh. Although I really felt sick after the woman has her face ripped off. That’s rather nasty.
