The one where Freddy is brought back to life via a stream of flaming dog piss…no seriously.
Gone is everything that made the original premise frightening and in its place we get gameshow/vegas Freddy. This wisecracking prick ceases to be scary and brings the series to a new low with its fluffy comic tone, something that it failed to come out of until the excellent New Nightmare.
Everything in this one has just gone completely snooker loopy. We have chicks being turned into bugs, Freddy eating pizza filled with souls (no, the Soul Food joke wasn’t funny the first time) and a victim drop kicking an invisible Kruger in the face with his magical ninja dream powers.
On the back of this, the darker grimmer tone of the new Nightmare remake is welcome, even if it does turn out to be wank.
Erm…so yeah, this film fucking blows.
