Ocean's Eleven (Steven Soderbergh, 2001)

A rather cocky yet clever and enjoyable caper with one of the starriest casts in recent memory. It manages to stay just shy of the “too big for its own boots” line (a line both it’s sequels, especially 12, stepped across) to be pleasantly fun and falters only when it becomes just that little bit too quirky at times.

It’s been a while since I last saw it (primarily because, for all its spark, it’s somewhat forgettable) but its boundless energy kept me watching.

Breezy, light hearted fluff from the man that made Sex, Lies and Videotape.

4/5
