Film: Unstoppable (Tony Scott, 2010)


Unstoppable is a rarity these days in that its plot is so simple that you can write the whole thing on a paper napkin. And that's how action movies should be, keep things short and simple and just go for it. Look what was accomplished when they put a bomb on a bus in Speed.

There's no originality to be found here and that's not the point. Neither is there need for any character development. All the film cares about is the craftsmanship to make a thrilling edge of your seat experience. In that regard, all involved have succeeded admirably.
