In educating my girlfriend in the ways of great cinema (I recently showed her L.A. Confidential, which she loved) she decided it had been too long since we’d last seen Toy Story.
It was like seeing it for the first time again: we laughed, we jumped (some of the moments in Sid’s room proved to be more frightening than I remember them, go figure) and we were both beaming come the end.
Fourteen years down the line, Toy Story is still the undisputed champion of computer animation.
